National Ringette School

The University of Lethbridge Ringette team plays in the Open A division in Alberta. The team runs summer camps in the Lethbridge area for athletes aged 8-15 years old.

Over the past thirty years, Donna has accumulated drills from her work in hockey and ringette schools, from observing and helping other coaches practices, from courses, books, video resources, her own innovations and experiences. The power skating programs that Donna develops and teaches are specific skills that relate to the age and level of the individual skater.

Our programs are paced appropriately and challenging for all skaters with drills/activities that are innovative and unique. RAB Cup 2020
This is an excellent learning opportunity for all participants, and a chance to be a part of a truly enjoyable event. Athletes are given the opportunity to receive a high level of instruction and skill/fitness assessment. The participants will meet other athletes from all over the Province and learn about the different ways they can work, both on and off the ice, to improve their game.
The 2020 camp is open to all Athletes born 2001 – 2005.

RAB Cup will be being used as a pathway to La Releve. La Releve is a High Performance Development program put on by Ringette Canada. It is an opportunity to train for a weekend in a high performance environment with members of the Junior National Team coaching staff and developing coaches. It is also a chance for up and coming athletes to be scouted for future national team programs. Athletes wishing to attend La Releve will be scouted at this year’s RAB Cup and later invited to be one of the Alberta athletes attending. Details relating to selection is available on Ringette Canada’s La Releve page.
La Releve 2020 is also cancelled at this time, due to COVID-19. Cost to attend will be $500 – athletes will be responsible for their own travel and accommodations. Ringette Canada will provide lunch and recovery snacks each day, as well as a t-shirt, all classroom sessions, fitness testing, post-event feedback, 3 practices and 3 games for each.
In order to be eligible for 2020 La Releve, female athletes must be:
- Born in 2004
- A member in good standing with their local association and an athlete in good standing with Ringette Canada
- Eligible to represent Canada at the World Ringette Championships; this requires the athlete to be a citizen of Canada.

RAB Challenge 2020
RAB Challenge is a development camp offered by Ringette Alberta. The camp is a lead in to the Alberta Winter Games program helping to introduce athletes and coaches alike to the short term competition model. It is also a precursor for the RAB Cup program. This camp allows athletes to participate on a team made up of athletes from across the province who may come with different skill sets then their own, as well as be exposed to new coaching styles and methods in a fun, developmentally focused weekend! The goal of the weekend is to learn lots, meet new people and most importantly, have fun!

Event Timing: Earliest start time on Friday is 9:45am
Register early! This camp usually fills up.
Athletes will receive several practices, games & off-ice developmental sessions, as well as a jersey and tshirt in their team colours.
