Come Try Ringette

Would you like to give our sport a try?  You are in luck!  Through the support of Ringette Canada and Ringette Alberta, local associations all over Alberta host FREE Come Try Ringette events.  These events are typically an hour in length and provide a sneak peek into our great sport!  Events are open to all ages and abilities, so come on out and give ringette a try!

We do ask that you pre-register so we can prepare for your visit.  To do so, simply click on an event below, or for a full list of events, go to  See you at the rink!

Please note you do not have to live within a certain town to attend a Come Try Event, just pick a time and place best for you.

March 10 Rockyford Ringette 5:00pm @ Rockyford Sportsplex
March 13 Pembina Ringette Association 5:00-6:00p @ Westlock Spirit Center
March 14 Lethbridge Ringette Association 12:00pm @ ATB Centre Check out the Battle of the Bridge Tournament and try ringette for yourself!
March 14 Airdrie Ringette Association 11:00am-12:00pm @ Genesis Place Airdrie is hosting U14A provincials this weekend, so this is a great chance to try the sport and watch it live!
March 28 Indus Ringette Association 3:00pm @ Chestermere Recreation Center We are on the ice at 3pm and there will be a parent meeting at 4pm. Come hear what ringette is all about and give it a try!
April 4 BowView Ringette Association 10am, Great Plains Arena The first session will be from 10-11am for anyone under 7 years-old. There will be a feature game at 11:15am, followed by a second session for those aged 7+ from 11:45am-12:45pm.
April 19 Calgary Northwest Ringette 1:15pm, Crowchild Twin Arena All registered partcipants for any Calgary Come Try Ringette event will automatically be entered into a draw for an opportunity to participate in a WinSport Ringette camp. The draw prize has been donated in memory of Jenna Sauer. Jenna was a Calgary ringette player and WinSport instructor before she passed away at the age of 18 from ovarian cancer. Jenna’s family is proud to donate to the Come Try Ringette events as  way to encourage more young girls to participate in a sport that remains to prominent in their lives.
May 3 South Calgary Ringette Association 12:45-1:45pm, 2:45-3:45 @ Flames Community Arena There will be a feature game from 1:45-2:45, so stick around or come early before your session!

May 2020 Red Deer Ringette Association RDR participates in their local Xplore day and the Central Alberta Children’s Festival. They also host a “Ringette 101” program. Contact the association for more details.
