NATIONAL RINGETTE SCHOOL

The National Ringette School is proud to host ringette camps across Canada; including four locations in Alberta: Calgary, Edmonton, Okotoks and Red Deer. Our day camps run throughout July and August. Our comprehensive on-ice and off-ice programs are designed and delivered by talented ringette players. These athletes are great role models from the community who are keen to share their passion for the sport with the next generation of players. For the Summer of 2024, we have camps for those born from 2009 to 2017 at most of our locations. The focus of these camps is to develop and refine individual skills (i.e. skating faster, passing and shooting power and accuracy, checking with confidence, etc.) then incorporate these skills into game-like situations through games and scrimmages to further enhance the athletes’ game sense. We are proud to sponsor Ringette Alberta as they have demonstrated a desire to continue to grow the sport through Come Try Ringette events and development sessions for many athletes. MEL THOMAS PERFORMANCE

Mel Thomas is the Skating Skills Coach of Team Canada. She creates programs to empower female athletes in their pursuit of greatness. She is a highly-trained skating instructor, experienced ringette player (Team Canada and Edmonton WAM!) and teacher.

Transcend Athletics Ringette Prep & Conditioning Camp

Ice times will consist of fast tempo flow drills for speed and edge work along with technical skill development on passing and shooting. This camp will focus on conditioning and drills that players will be evaluated on during the UAA Evaluations.
