Canadian Ringette Championships and National Ringette League

Head coaches and assistant coaches of teams eligible to attend the Canadian Ringette Championships (CRC) will have to complete a Comp Dev multi-sport module prior to March 1, 2025, with 2 exceptions:

1. Coaches who complete their Comp Intro evaluation during the season do NOT have to do a Comp Dev multi-sport module
2. Coaches who are already Comp Dev trained or certified do not have to complete a module

All TEAMS at the CRC must have someone on their bench with valid first aid training or higher. That can be a coach or a trainer, but it must be someone who is attending the CRC with the team. 

Coaches who need to complete a Comp Dev multi-sport module can choose from the list below, and must do a course NEW to them (can't re-take one already complete). Alberta Sport's calendar will show upcoming offerings, or you can check the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC)'s calendar. 

1. Developing Athletic Abilities
2. Coaching & Leading Effectively
3. Prevention & Recovery
4. Manage a Sport Program
5. Performance Planning
6. Managing Conflict 
7. Psychology of Performance
8. Leading a Drug-Free Sport (this is the only one that can be completed online independently)

For coaches considering working towards their Comp Dev trained status, you will eventually need all 8 of these multi-sport modules complete.

The first 5 above must be completed prior to being eligible to take the Comp Dev ringette course.
