Canada Winter Games Assistant Coaches Announced

Ringette Alberta is pleased to announce that Kari Sadoway, Jillian Basterash and Devon Lowe have been named Assistant Coaches of Team Alberta. They will join Head Coach, Heather Konkin at the 2019 Canada Winter Games, February 15-March 3, 2019 in Red Deer, AB.

Sadoway brings 32 years of ringette experience to the team. She is a longstanding member of the Sherwood Park Ringette Association and is currently the Assistant Coach for the Sherwood Park U16AA Power. Additionally, she is the Assistant Coach for Team USA.

Basterash has been involved with ringette for 21 years. She is currently the Assistant Coach of the St Albert U19AA team and played her youth Ringette with the Zone 5AA Ringette Club. She is Canada Winter Games Alumni, participating in the 2011 Games in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Rounding out the bench staff is Devon Lowe. Lowe has 24 years of ringette experience. She is currently the Assistant Coach of the Calgary Strive U19AA Team and is a member of the Calgary Ringette Association.

Sadoway, Basterash and Lowe share an impressive ringette resume in addition to their current coaching positions. All are currently playing in the Open A Division. Sadoway and Basterash have experience both on the coaching staff and player roster for the NRL team, the Edmonton WAM! Basterash and Lowe are Canada Winter Games Alumni attending the 2011 and 2007 Games winning Silver medals.
